Sorry, I Can't Love You! Poem by Pranayee Rachamalla

Sorry, I Can't Love You!

You said you love my name,
but somebody else may be existing with the same.
You said you liked my poems,
But you never felt its essence!
You said you love my eyes,
Then what if I go blind?
You said that you liked my smile,
But never understood its reason,
You said you liked my face,
Then what if acid damages it?
You said you liked my heart, but you know nothing about it!
You said you liked my interests,
but you were dumb when I questioned you about my world;
You said you like my dressing style
still, you don't know my attitude and character.
you said you, love to hear my talk,
but you never heard its intention!
You didn't bother about things that define me,
You just liked those, which describe me;
You left the permanent things
and ran behind some temporary, stupid decorations.
When you can't understand my psychology and attitude
and can't respect my world,
Then this shall be a perfect reason to say you,
Sorry, I can't love you!
