Soul, Mind, Life. Poem by Jodie Louise Pollock

Soul, Mind, Life.

A stack of books on the shelves,
A pile of paper on the table,
A crowd of coats on the floor,

A broken heart in your soul.

A load of dishes on the side,
A heap of washing on the chair,
A mound of shoes by the door,

A lost mind losing control.

A list of jobs on the cupboard,
A mountain of clothes on the bed,
A stack of ashtrays in the corner,

An empty life taking over.
