Speak To Me

Speak to me
when I am lonesome,
weak and sad

Speak to me
in dreams,
in reverie and fantasy

Speak to me
when my thought
ponders on you

Speak to me
My darling you…

Speak to me
with your tender voice,
melodious whispers of love

Speak to me
without your words,
I will feel your heart and woe

Speak to me
when you are lonesome,
weak and sad

Speak to me
My dearest heart…

This poem is very tender, and tenderness is a cherished means of communication. It's curious in a way that tenderness is both the message and the way the message is delivered. I can imagine the poem recited in a slow, resonant voice, taking its sweet time to fill the atmosphere with positive energy. I love the way the poem dovetails - in the beginning the speaker refers to being sad and lonesome, a condition her beloved can transform, and then at the end of the poem SHE is offering the same consolation when he is sad and lonesome. That exchange is the heart of love, and will prove to be a practical way of maintaining love over time. We are talking of gratitude here. (Report) Reply

We use heart full of joy and heart full congratulations etc. and heart have such a beautiful emotion title in human mind. A nice poem of silence and solitude beautifully made into a poem and like it. (Report) Reply

Alliteration is used with beautiful effect.
The repeats create a musical clickety clack of consonants and syllables.
especially put in question...it creates a powerful and catchy effect that the reader is spell bound to latch on to...almost begging for an answer

    lovely

Dost see how unregarded now
That piece of beauty passes?
