Wonderful Spirit truth divine
Approach and dwell within
Let love and grace be truly mine
And help me conquer sin

Remove the devil’s every claim
Consume demonic silt
Till gone is every trace of shame
And life’s foundation’s built

Transcendent Spirit sweet and kind
Guide me to hallowed ground
Onward upward leaving behind
The chains that held me bound

Ignite within consuming fire
Submerge my soul with light
Till love’s become my prime desire
And I’m a bride in white

Excellent Spirit God inside
Power before unknown
Let love become my constant guide
Toward my Father’s throne

Without Your presence who can stand?
Who can through life proceed?
Hope to enter The Promised Land?
If You don’t take the lead

Correct my sinful flesh my bone
Convert my thoughts of lust
Transform my putrid heart of stone
Before I turn to dust

So come as Comfort to my soul
As Councillor supreme
As Guide until I reach my goal
Beyond my wildest dream
