Spot O' Light Poem by Daniel Miltz

Spot O' Light

Fragrance of grass linger in the air·way
I lie in the dark, and yet I see
In the quiet, I listen for the last of the day
'Tis evening floats in on a great hurry
That brings the earth and heaven in play

In the moonlight, full o' hope fill
I see only a beam of light
I look again upon a sparkle shrill
In staggering steps the light bright
Amazed and charmed I keep gazing until
Admiring the light so forthright

I see clearer and bigger, suddenly
My beam of light no more a fickle fight
Till the darkness be complete a·bun·dantly
'Tis I'll glow with you my light-brīt
United together again, triumphantly
My friend, my friend --My Spot O' Light
