Spring breeze, spring breeze,
Awaken from the slumber, timorous
With thy gentle kiss, upon the buds, unfreeze.

Be the melody of leaves, branches and trees,
A sky-lark's woe, a bright-star's caress
The thicket of tresses, humming of bees.

A lyre to my heart, a life to seize;
The green of the earth, harmony amorous,
A winter's adieu, summer‘s unleash.
