Spring's Delight Poem by Billy Loving

Spring's Delight

Rating: 4.0

Awakened by the birds as they sing
Much joy it does bring
A warming sun ray
Helps me start the day
Winter dissipates
While the spring weather invigorates
New life starting to appear
Bringing me hope and cheer
Much work to be done
Before its time for a little fun
Growing onions ready to be mowed
Seeds need to be sowed
The ground, I first must till
Before the rows, with seeds, I fill
Off I go to catch some fish
To complete my supper dish
Still some time left to enjoy the night
Under the moon as it shines so bright
Soon to take my leave
I watch a spider as it starts to weave
Retreating to my nighttime lair
For another day, starting to prepare
