Standing In Place Poem by Satish Verma

Standing In Place

Rating: 5.0

The forbidden candle
burns alone in the swarm of
clouds. I read your eyes again.

I take off the sparks
to write a poem in black sky.
Why does the world revolve around love?

There was no trending.
It was auto-hurt to prove the fidelity
of the moon amidst the galaxy of sins.

I like the rich imagery used in this poem. The fidelity of the moon in a galaxy of sins, is such a wonderfully strong image!
