They watch over you, when I can not
they shower you with the silver blue gleam
of precious stones and fine things
I can not give to you
they hang in the same coal black
vast sea of midnight
that in waves, surrounds us all
on them I wish for you
on them I pray for you
to bring you peace in dreams
to wipe tears from your eyes
when you are not close enough
for me to catch them
the stars beloved
are tiny embers
pieces chipped away
from gods own light
The same light
that used to stare
at me, so peacefully
and lovingly, from the
heavenly blue infinite of your eyes
