Stars Burns Out Long Before We Notice Their Death. Poem by Leah Ayliffe

Stars Burns Out Long Before We Notice Their Death.

I think I'm twirling down the road gold
where white doves fall in love on the branches of cherry trees.
Singing the song of what's never been before
blue skies laughing at an old joke
about the darkness and lightening trying to exist together
some where between the rainbow.
This movie playing on the television screen in my head
is everything to me.
I think it's one of those long ones that last a lifetime in just some hours.
Tastes like a black & white classic, but feels like a technicolor moonbeam.
The story is long and beautiful like blue bells in my dreams that glisten with the sound of stars.
The ending is something of another start...
One of those that make you wonder if it's worth it,
but believe me, it's worth it.

I don't think you understand
how sad it will get,
when we become strangers,
like we never met.
I don't want to say out loud
the dreaded day where stars die
after all the was created
magic lands built from the earth to heavens sky.

I don't want to think it's true,
that someday I'll be losing you,
but it's the only answer,
when my hearts love is waiting quietly in the balance.

we'll pretend to keep in touch,
when It will be too much.
I wont be able to survive it,
when it's someone else you're desiring.

When I'm on my own again
I'll never forget you, my greatest friend.
You're the only one who ever knew me....
You're the only one I let in.

Exploded moments in time
creating a star in the sky that was all mine.
Until the end begins
I'll stay by your side.

A great poem with a perfectly appropriate title... They say all good things come to an end. Well that is true, but it's equally as true if you take 'good' out of the equation entirely. Stars do indeed burn out long before we notice their death, but we also get to live in their light until we notice as well
