I walk on the edge of life
Waiting for something
to end my days,
But I am still alive.
I run without caution,
Dangers lying in my wake
But I easily look past them
Because I am still alive.
I feed on adrenaline
Make more mistakes than necessary
To show that I have no fear
Of death while I am alive.
No longer I look over my soldier
No longer I worry
No longer I expect the worst
No longer am I alive.
