Stolen Kiss (Part1) Poem by Pen Anthony

Stolen Kiss (Part1)

I was poor
poverty camped at my doorstep
not short on cents
rather short on sense
though the commonest of all.

It started when i saw her
overwhelmed by her ethereal beauty
charmed by her sunny smile
i desired to kiss her tiny dimples
she had all the attention i could afford
yet all i wished for was just a minute of her
time
She gave me five.

I had more time than i'd wished for
i had a closer look of her than i ever had
i smelt a richer scent of her fragrance
and i was more closer to her than i'd ever
been
the look in her eye stole my second word
'I...
It lasted for a few seconds
and i waited a few more-for the slap
it is then i'd open my eyes.
