Stop Stressing Poem by Akeem Mair

Stop Stressing

Before we both go to sleep,
jus wanna say I can't tell u not to stress
cuz u been stressing
makes you blind to how much you're blessed
What's worrying over bills going to do?
Pay them quickly
No you only die quickly like making yourself sick
makes you debt free
Calm down baby the lord will take care of everything
jus believe
Let him do his miracles stop getting in his way
when you worry
He don't need you but you need him
If you wanna get through this
But he's not gonna help us
if you don't pray on it like a wish
And wait him to do him and not do you
cause you isn't working
I mean if you did
you wouldn't be in the dark crying
And that's the truth
something I had to learn in my youth
You could refuse what I'm telling you
and stay stressing
But tell you right now those ways
ain't gonna solve anything
Next thing I know I'm standing over your tombstone
in tears
What I feared came into reality
and now I'm drunk drinking beers
Trying to use the alcohol to bring you back
when I had this moment
To tell you to stop stressing and worrying
and you didn't listen
So if you love me you would stop stressing for me
I wanna see you in peace
And not in pieces.. Baby please
Broken down on my knees do it for me
Stop stressing
