Strange Affair Poem by Marlene Rashidi

Strange Affair

Secretly in a certain type of way
Dangerous as slowly as it turns out to be.

Met online.
The story began, endless as it is.
Safety matters the most.
Words filled with deep meanings; he'd say to me.

Am I dreaming?
Did I overdose on those sleeping pills?
Somebody take me out of this nightmare!
Music and Dancing; he likes.
Apart from all men.
Different from all I know.

He owns me, I'm his; a type of affair.
This is strange!
Bring me back to reality.
He keeps pulling me back.
I can't get him out of my mind.

'Kiss your broken heart, goodbye'
What's that suppose to mean?
I'm on his drug, I'm one of his own.
He breaths my flesh in with too much
pressure.
This is strange.
