Strings Poem by Amanda Larsen

Strings

It's the strings that bind two
Broken souls together
It's the pointless run, it's
Every happy ever after
It's the noiseless sound
And the breathless whisper
It's the unsafe ground
And the way I'm not scared…

Chorus:
I could live forever
In our dreams of heaven
But if you choose to leave then
I will have to follow
It's our fate that found us
We don't really have a choice
It's the strings that bind us
We're together if we fall…

It's my broken promise
It's the scars you kept inside
It's the tears I vanish
Every time I never cry
When our hearts discourage
I see diamonds in your eyes
They will never find us.
We will make it out alright…
(Chorus)
It's the smell of your skin
It's my desperate need to keep you
Stay! I can't afford to lose you.
Then my shy apology
I could never fix you
I'm no less a mess myself
But I understand you
We won't be alone again…

(Chorus)
Maybe we should listen
To the way our heartbeats fly
Maybe we should fight for
Just another chance to try
It's a threaded maybe
But I'm holding on to that
Cause every broken maybe
is everything that I have left….
We're bound together…
