Studying Romans Poem by Bill Grace

Studying Romans

The loud child
does not know
that she is loud
supported by a father's love.

Neighbors graciously allow
our dog his use of their lawns
to take care of business.
Dog does not understand
the offense that he can give.

Studying Romans
with the help of the good pastor
I too like child and dog
fail to understand
my offending nature.

Yet grace
that has seen me far
I trust may yet abound
and with hope, yet
will see me through.
