Such Love Of God

In deepest depths of sin’s abyss
Lost to Salvation’s grace
Who can appraise God’s tender kiss?
Or Jesus’ warm embrace

Such untold lengths God’s love can reach
Who can it’s strength endure?
For none can preach nor teacher teach
Such warmth unknown before

Surely to man its more than strange
This love of God on high
Who can receive and fail to change?
Or fail to wonder why

Who can refuse God’s willing arms?
Who can object such care?
Who can reject such wondrous charms?
Salvation has to share

Beyond all thought or wildest dreams
Far beyond man’s scope
Flowing in such tremendous streams
How is a child to cope?

That quiet voice the sweetest smell
The feeling deep inside
Such happiness will fail to tell
But Jesus chosen bride

But all mankind can still receive
God’s word has so decreed
They need but on His love believe
And take of all they need

I bless the day this shaking hand
Took hold of that divine
And made this child to understand
Such love that now is mine
