初冬忽暖
Sudden warmth of first winter

最是初冬的今天
The most first winter of today
天气忽然转暖
Weather has suddenly turned warm
不及更衣
No time to change clothes

秋冬之交
Autumn winter intervenes
雨和雪很难预料
Rain or snow is hard to tell
心情暧昧
The mood is obscure
渐行渐远的旅程
A journey gradually walking afar

从鹿谷湾去船索镇路走路的距离
A walking distance from Fawndale Crescent to Briddletwon Circle
路面被昨夜的雨水打湿
The road surface has been damped by rain water last night
天气转暖的时候
The time weather turning warm
有行人出动
Many pedestrians coming out

我遇到了十二个人
I have met twelve people
这个数字还好
A pretty good number
它可以被二整除
It can be divided by two
它也可以被三整除
It can also be divided by three
也可以被四整除
As well as four
甚至可以被六整除
Even by six


一对老夫妻缓慢行走
An old couple walking slowly
彼此并不说话
They are not talking to each other
他们穿着臃肿
They looked plump with cast off clothes
那个女人手持拐杖
The woman is aided with a crutch
老头拉着购物车
Oldman dragged a shopping cart
很显然他们是去买菜的
It is so obvious they are going for grocery

有两个骑自行车的人
There are two people riding bicycle
面目不见
No face showing
头上的帽子很低
Very low hat on their heads
围巾也围得很严实
Tightly wrapped with dark scarf
如果是在夜晚
If it were during the night
我会感到害怕
I would be scared
我走到路边的草地上
I stepped aside on the grass off the road
给他们让开道路
Allow them to pass

还有一个祖母推着童车
There is a granny pushing a buggy
上面坐着她的孙子
On which her grandson sits
还有六个是吃完午餐回学校的中学生
Six students finish lunch and back to school
刚好是三个男孩和三个女孩
Just three boys and three girls
全部都是西人
All are westerners
没有中国人
No Chinese on sight

今天就我一个是中国人
Today there is only me a Chinese
从鹿谷湾走到船索镇路
Walk from Fawndale Crescent to Briddletwon Circle
孤独行走
Walk alone
没有伙伴
With no companion

初冬忽暖
Sudden warmth of first winter
的确需要出来走走
Indeed needs to get out and walk
