Suicidal Poem by Chelsea Page

Suicidal

Rating: 5.0

The days pass slow,
as suicide creeps up.
It's always on your mind,
it never goes away.
Suicidal is what they call it.
It creep up,
Them BAM! ! You're gone,
Your parents walk in,
all they see is your spiritless body.
Right beside you is your suicide note.
Saying how no one cared.
They start crying.
They lost there baby girl.
Thinking to themselves
where did it all go wrong?
First they were planning a wedding
Now they're planning a funeral.
That day came,
Everyone dressed in black.
Crying is the word I'm looking for.
Why now? Why do they care now?
As my lifeless body lays in the golden brown coffin,
I didn't know what to think,
Was it you or me hurting more?

Subtle hints to those numbed emotions and sensitivities. I like that. It reads itself slowly and calmy because of it's observational placement; another hint at being detached from feelings. It also teams with the post-death-thought to create a sense of surrealism. So it's written well, and doesn't go flowery. And it's strong, almost unaware at the start but comes to thinking nearer the end. Then it literally does leave more questions than answers. Good poem then. It's an intriguing slant on suicide.

Death seems to be so easy but when you look at it in someone who cares about you perspective then things get really bad I have felt like taking my life when times are hard but I look to the ones who would miss me and stop. This shows that you see the meaning how others would feel thats strength to not go through it. This is a really good poem and you should really keep this up.
