Summer Days Poem by Terry Hoffman

Summer Days

Flowers waving in the breeze,
a sun-drenched sky, it does please.
A rippling brook across the way.
Oh, what a lovely summer day.

Children splashing at the beach,
a picnic lunch within their reach.
Finding wood and stones and shells
and each one a story tells.

Hammock for a lazy nap
is a beck'ning cozy trap.
We can sway and sleep all day,
pass those summer days away.

Wonderland in Nature's wood,
'neath a tree where we once stood.
A breeze that blows so soft and cool.
Oh, so glad we're out of school.
