Summer Night Poem by Rory Hudson

Summer Night

a train whistle breaks the silence of the night
and a flock of birds wheels mysteriously in the east;
the moon lies huge and golden in the sky -

and hidden in the deepest shadows of the trees
lovers reach out for one another with trembling arms.
