Sunset At Dawn Poem by Dela Bobobee

Sunset At Dawn

The acacia bows to the sultry wind
in heightened spiritual obeisance
the baobab nods its bushy head
full of birds like lice glued to hair

the desert blooms in profusion
the Okavango blooms splendour
kudus sprint with joyous vivacity
the earth is pregnant with sublimity

suddenly the ground drank the rivers
the greenery has dulled to grey
the wildebeests on return trek
left all the grasses uneaten

baby flamingos in stunted growth
wonderered what happened to their
nursery watery paradise of joy
as their parents flapped away.
