Sweet, Sweet Bailey Poem by Aleysha MacIntosh

Sweet, Sweet Bailey

Rating: 5.0

Sweet, sweet Bailey

Has there ever been
A child so sweet?
Never a cuter girl
Will you meet!
With eyes blue like the sea,
And hair as golden
And fair
As the Harvest moon.
You’re growing up
Much too soon!
Why, just yesterday
You were just a baby
When you and Blake
Came to Oklahoma to play.
Sadly though, you couldn’t stay.
For you and I live far
Away from one another.
And you had to return home
With your mother.
But your roses, they’re still
Here, on the dresser
Where you left them.
Where forever they’ll stay.
Never from there will they stray.
By now, Bailey-boo, you
Know it’s true,
Auntie Aley loves you!
