When the night
Has softly kissed those dark mountains
Dressed in snow

The lord's love will rise
Like the stars above
Across the valley of sweet tomorrow

Sweet tomorrow
Where the sun will rise
And sparkle amongst your bright eyes


Sweet tomorrow
Where birds will sing
And lovers will rejoice
And spring will undo
The sorrows made on this earth
Through greed and hatred

Surely, the lord's love will rise
Like the stars
Across the valley of sweet tomorrow

Sweet tomorrow
A world without sorrow
Where black and white
And all the colors of life
Will join hands
To build a beautiful tomorrow

But you may ask
When will arrive
A season on earth
As beautiful as "sweet tomorrow"

When will children
Play and dance
When will the world
Be empty of guns

When will the lord
Hear our prayers

And

The lord's love will rise
Like the stars above
Across the valley of sweet tomorrow
