Swifts And Swallows Poem by Phil Soar

Swifts And Swallows

Rating: 3.5

Swifts and Swallows flash by on filigree wings
As I stand and watch in the summer breeze
The aerial acrobatics displayed in effortless ease
Skimming the grasses, avoiding the trees
Dancing through the air in synchronised ballets
Moving with such grace,
And touching my heart with the beauty
I could watch forever and not become bored
Until they move on and fly somewhere abroad
Like a musical score that has come to its end
Those Swifts and Swallows have been like a friend
