Switch Across Poem by Kevin Parkin

Switch Across

You sit across the room
with pleasant sound of music
filling the room
Symphonic, electric.
Ecstatic.
Powerfully they fill
your being, reaching
through, whilst in your
lover's arms and you smile
across at me and
your warm blue eye's
calculatingly brighten;
as the melancholy gives
way to an up-rhythm sound.
Care-less, care-free laughter
plays across your face-
Expression-less, as you chatter
in idle banter - your hair in
Hapless disarray, you succumb to
The gentle electric sounds.
