Tainted Poem by Rogerlene Blount

Tainted

Fresh air,
Moist and dewy,
unplucked, perfect, and
full-blossomed.
Delicious, untainted,
desirable.
Inexperience ripe for the
picking.
Fragrant pores burst,
releasing seductive
poison.
Sweet as caramel,
heady, warm, inviting.
Throbbing, anxious
to act on dark
fantasies.
Skin laid bare.
Prickly, wet, and
splashed with
raw aromas.
Immaturity unnurtured
and abandoned.
The woman wrestled from
innocence is made
aware, by blood and
pain, of what has
been lost.
