Tainted Heart Poem by Eric Cochran

Tainted Heart

One day you were so kind, yet now you seem dreaded,
Could it be that the core of your heart is so tainted?

Is the purity of my own heart not able to heal?
Or is yours so pale, that only he can seal?

Of the terror felt in my heart, it is you that i cannot feel,
For it is blackened in rejection by your lover's appeal.

I know now that i cannot speak of this anymore,
Because if I do, I know in my own heart, will suffer an uncurable sore.
