Take The Stairs Poem by Kevin Seales

Take The Stairs

Up and down the hall and stairs
They never seem to quit
I know that they are good for me
I know they make me fit

I get so tired when my class
Is on the second floor
But by the time I get up there
My teacher has closed the door

Ding ding the bell has rung
It's time to go outside
I wish we didn't have the stairs
I wish we had a slide

And if we did have a slide
That goes around and around
I'd be the first to jump right on
I'd be the first one down

Going down would be fun
It really would be cool
I wish they had a slide like this
One in every school

But getting back to reality
I must have had nightmares
Cause when I got to school today
I had to take the stairs
