Taken In A Call Poem by Michael Walkerjohn

Taken In A Call

ringtone
voicemail
incessant
depressing
messaging
messing with
your hourly bliss
on a daily basis; yes?
** What tha phuuck! **
You fear your weakness
the dangerous villain of an
unimaginable ugliness; how
smug this villain is! Always he
is lurking just behind your mind's
third eye… and you find no courage
to face him, to chase him away from
your life. And you, cannot escape your
perceived and dishonorable fate. Is
it really too late? For you to seek
to relate to your fate to make
things straight within you?
you consider making a break
toward what is left of your life
to that little strength remaining
in the woman you claim to be…
Are you listening to me? This is your
duty. Not to surrender that which is due
that which is you; that which is so through
with all the things that you currently do to you.
And you, appear to be awakened, in great shape
of greater beauty. Full lips and luscious hips and
legs to die for; and your couture… of silks and
lace and skin clinging tights and that leather
how it all comes together with those black
stiletto's! Dressed to the nines, looking oh
so divinely fine, and heavenly devilish; the
lovely main dish you will yourself to be for me.
Ringtone, voicemail, lyft or uber now… IAM buying
what it is you are dying to be trying… Taken in a call!
