Tale Of An Ocean-Born Farewell Poem by Th3 Craft3r

Tale Of An Ocean-Born Farewell

I can hear the night's voice whisper into my ear,
Like I never heard it before for decades of years.
Then I know I shall forever live to tell the tale,
The tale of a dying heart and an ocean-born farewell.

At the wave-beaten shore we stood still.
For in my heart I know someday I'll set sail.
To the undying lands I will try to go,
to find a reason to live and throw away the sorrow.

But I shall not stay and rest in my tomb,
not until the birth of the unborn love in your womb.
For it came to me that there linger still,
the fading glimmer of my hope's will.

And for that moment I'll vow to be with you,
to keep on hoping that you'll love me too.
But when that hope finally turns to dust,
then to leave for your happiness, I must.

I know now that the ships are waiting for me,
all I need to hear now is that you love me.
But if ever the answer is still no,
then this would be my goodbye, I'll go.
