Talent

It's not for the money, it's not for the fame,
it's not for the people to remember my name.

It's for the feelings of sharing those gifts I was given.
for the talents from God which makes a hard life worth living'.

And the boundless reward reaching into the untouched heart
with an unconditional love and leaving a part
of myself with concern and without hesitation
this true meaning of a life with a great celebration.

I give you free choice of acceptance without a demand
I just wanted to extend my gifts & reach out my hand

So
It's not for the money, it's not for the fame,
it's not for the people to remember my name.

But when my existence has faded and my light has dimmed
I hope a reason for living is under your skin
and you can share it with others as I have with you

Your talents are God's gift's that He's given to you.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
It's a message about TALENT which Nikki Hornsby as a grammy voting member understands as a responsibility and a gift. She wants to share these gifts as they are meant to be shared in hopes everyone does the same to share their own from her example. Not an easy path for anyone is acceptance. This is part of her life's experience & knowledge in the professional music recording industry just as her Grandfather was in recording for Columbia Records before she was born. Also this poem is in her booklet on Amazon and her career biography is on wikipedia.org
