Talking Drum Poem by SylvaOnyema (SUPER.T) Ubah

Talking Drum

Rating: 5.0

Drum of life
Bobbling with life

Musical drum
Drumming familiar sounds
Drumming strange sounds
But drum drum the drum

Drum stick drumming high
Jumping tall into the air
Break dancing with musical style

Drum panegyric
Singing lullabies of praises
Singing with chanted incantation
With mouth full of pride

Heraldic sound
Beckoning sounds of initiation
Drumming sounds of ceremonies
Dancing with festivals
Drum drum the drum of life

Travel Drum
Flying in the air like aeroplane
Drumming of African culture
From far away land

Drumming of
Primordial
Primitive and
Pristine pride

O! talking drum, my talking drum
King of all drums
Palace music piper
Peoples cornerstone

Talking Drum

This is profound! I don't mean to be tribalistic, but I'm amazed at the fact that you're from the Eastern part of the country.

Drumming of Primordial Primitive and Pristine Pride It shows that the message of the talking drum is universal. It talks about the past culture as well as the present culture.
