Talks Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Talks

Talks

He is poor, respectful
-and his room
-in garage with side door
-and the winding stairs.

Not lonely but lonely
-with a pet
-no barking
-no talking except for
-among them or maybe
-with papers…
-piled up on a desk,
-which is a multi tasking table!

Poetic messy room
-is made-up and designed
-with a bed and sofas.

Everything old, varied
-in the shape and colour.

Rocking chair was brought
-with hardship; to corner
- (a wrestle, struggle!)

Must be a left over
-of someone after death.

It is old and simple
-not to worth a repair.

It is there to be there!

For him a reminder
-of something; a secret.

Lifted it and dragged
-to settle on one side.

When passing as he does
-everyday; in and out.

(He does so everyday;
-going out for a walk
-a custom for too long
-and days pass
-with day in, and day out!

On corner the whispers
-on, about the poet:
- "Why does he? "
- "Why doesn't? "
- "He should have…"
- "Instead! ! ! "

He knows of the words said!
-does not care…"

When polite:
- "…are breeze on surface! "
-and when not:
- "They stink as does fart;
-I rather hear the…"

Back at home with wine, walls
-feels hears:
- "He went to buy apples…"
"…it's on sale…"
"…he returned …"
"…with just two…"
"…crazy…"

Sensitive, he can read
-the brains behind lips
-keeps his tongue to himself
- "They aren't worth reply
-I spoil if buy more
-and cannot afford it! "

He is the proof of
-cost of life for victims;
-and the conned, and cheated,
-and abused and betrayed
-who live life fridge-less!
