Tattered Flag Poem by Christan Bowen

Tattered Flag

flesh and bone I have gored
so many places, i have moored
the ship I sail
flies the flag
of a pirate
and with a hag
I bury treasure
lost forever
this is gold
that will not endeavor

and so many mates
have lost their lives
to my blunderbuss
and my knives
that if god is real and he will judge
know this to him
I will not budge

for I am a pirate
and this our creed
I will die
and I will bleed
but I will never bend my knees
