Temporary Poem by Nik Houghton

Temporary

One big fake charade
Full of pretenses and lies
Blissful days all faded
A deceiving face luring her innocent hope

Temporary emotions and borrowed affection
A bond so immense
Without hindrance nor intention
But reality so cruel lead to distance without impression

Memories wasted
Honesty neglected
Dark thoughts splattered
As entertainment while retaliation appears complimented

Beaming perfection lies ahead
As she masters the puzzle
Mending wounds and healing bruises all in prudent time
Shall she beat life at its best trial with eloquent experience
