Temptation Poem by Alesia Leach

Temptation

Beneath a sparkling moon,
she hears his soothing, mellow tune.

Unable to resist his gentle lure,
her heart no longer locked and secure.

The sweet melody instills a tender ache,
igniting feelings she cannot escape.

Thoughts racing... heart pounding...
her desire rapidly mounting...

She yearns for his fiery touch,
why must she feel such?

Mindless to any danger,
she has eyes only for the stranger.

Her mind, foolish with delight,
when his eyes on her alight.

His gaze full of hunger,
slowly pulls her under.

She yields to his temptation,
loving his sweet persuasion.
