Tenderness Poem by Catherine Inscore

Tenderness

Rating: 5.0

Hold on
to the gentle breeze
like a babe's sweet kiss
or your first real dream

catch that warm smile
of a newborn child
hold it close to your heart
let it sit there, in a corner

some days, when the cold winds blow
and the ice chills
your soul to the bone
or something hits you harder

let the tenderness
of this moment keep you
warmer than any
keep your heart so soft-
as many moments can

Tenderness
