Tending pain in my own new garden

When you left me
i did not show any pain

i have no tears
i have no eyes

you never mention my name
to our new destination

you are alone and
you have always been

you keep telling strangers
you were born alone

when you left me
i learned a lot

i can be happy too
tending pain like

sprouting seed in my
own new garden

Poem of the Day

poet Paul Laurence Dunbar

The mist has left the greening plain,
The dew-drops shine like fairy rain,
The coquette rose awakes again
Her lovely self adorning.

The Wind is hiding in the trees,
