Teratology

Rating: 5.0

By combining Greek words,
'winged monsters' are 'pteroterata'.

All pterosaurs,
including pterodactyls
and pteranodons,
are pteroterata.

The fish-like pterichthys
and the scorpion-like pterygotus,
though aquatic,
have wing-like features,
so qualify as pteroterata too.

Pteroteratos-ptomae - a fitting end -
are the corpses of these creatures.
