I stand in the shadows
Afraid to step out
The sun is so uninviting
The fear of it's pentetrating rays overwhelm me
What do I always do?
I take a giant leap out
And leave myself completely exposed to you
I long for your embrace
and pray for your warmth
And now
I await for the burn
