Thalictrum (King Of The Meadow) Poem by james watkin

Thalictrum (King Of The Meadow)

Where Thalictrum stands, a firmanent
Puffy as the blue transpires.
As fleeting upheld, that higher-blown.
As fey hued, of dusking's pyres.

In their constant peering up, what shapes
For torpid day-tramping snails?
A sameness of cloudiness I guess;
From where stream odorous hails.
