Some friends are kept for life
They are always near- even when far
They cannot all be your wife
They are simply dear- one of whom you are
Fragile like a bubble
A treasure like Hubble
A product of time
Worth every dime
Lasting as nothing
Valuable & trusting
Beleaguered, buffeted
A friend now coveted
The wrath of friends
Leaves us to rot;
Leaves our friendship to depend
On your rocking the cot
Yet through thick & thin
You'll rather stay than bin;
Dollars, Euros, Pounds, whatever
We're definitely friends forever
For from you I cannot just go—
Fond of you I have come to grow—
You're that friend whom in these & more
Than I could a sister I've come to adore!
