Thank You Lord

Thank you Lord for our food we eat,
Thank you Lord for our friends we meet.
Thank you Lord for our love each year,
Thank you Lord for our occasional tear,

Thank you Lord for the health you gave.
Thank you Lord for the soul you did save.
Thank you Lord for the friends that stay,
Thank you Lord for the light today,

Thank you Lord for the faith you shared.
Thank you Lord for showing you cared.
Thank you Lord for the trees and shrubs,
Thank you Lord for forgiving our flubs,

Thank you Lord for being here every day.
Thank you Lord for your compassion to stay,
Thank you Lord not allowing our soul to stray,
Thank you Lord for guiding, preparing our way.

Poem of the Day

poet Paul Laurence Dunbar

The mist has left the greening plain,
The dew-drops shine like fairy rain,
The coquette rose awakes again
Her lovely self adorning.
