That Brief Sunshine Poem by Nalini Jyotsana Chaturvedi

That Brief Sunshine

Rating: 4.5

That brief sunshine
That you brought
To my heart
left warm traces
Think these cinders
Will last

But for you
I was just a whim
It's your deeds
That you'll drown
Not swim

From the middle
Of the ocean grand
On the shore
My silhouette stands
While you grope
For that last strand

No, you will not
Have a peaceful end
Nalini
