'That Old Feel' Poem by Rudan A. Matiga

'That Old Feel'

Lovely girl! Come nearer to me my dear,
I have music to whisper in your ear.

Listen! It's nice to recall the good olden days,
In younger times and during our carefree ways.

To me! You can hear nothing but a sigh,
From a guy who is so timid and so shy.

Remember! I love to listen when you talked,
Especially the way you cracked a loosely joke.

I laughed with you so much with joy and then I hide,
when I saw you with someone else hurting my pride.

Love is something others in this world can't endure,
Unless it's shared by people who are wont to endear.

You may not feel the enthusiasm as they say,
Very ordinary as it is so tedious to your way.

Much to the Truth that is in your mind,
Too precious a thing to be mixed with wine.

So in the end if everything is at peace,
Lies should behave in a far away place.

I have a feeling that cannot be defeated by lies,
But always come to share the wisdom of the wise.
