The Adventure
birth
my chaos
begun
a life
springs
forth
love's
a summer
alive
years
my hopes
unmet
peace
found in
death
a body
fuel for
earth

Not sure where they come up with this stuff, but it's a fun challenge.
With an economy of words deepest thoughts are expressed. A great depiction of life. A philosophical write capturing age old wisdom. A huge 10.
What other topic has captivated writers as much as the circle of life and death, but perhaps the interlude of love. Your gracious and insightful comments are always a blessing on my board. Have a beautiful day (probably evening where you are, already. I hope the stars shine peacefully upon you) :)

neal, i have a moment to spend in ph and am exploring your poetry again and came on this one. it strikes me that like me you experiment and follow in verse the dictum that form should follow function. i like the brevity and pleasing shape of this poem. describing this life as chaos seems so characteristic of you. perhaps not quite the same, i have struggled to accept the pervasive entropy in life. in my poem listening to genius loves company i describe life as a hard time.
