The Age Of Wisdom (2)

In time, when bonds have been untied
When Jesus truly reigns
Consider now; the slow in stride
Who’s prayers today broke chains

Throughout the earth, yet aged sit
In deep incessant prayer
It’s through such oil, can lamps stay lit
And show The Lord we care

What wisdom’s veiled in aged tongue?
What knowledge dwells their song?
Esteem the old encourage young
With both, Christ Bride is strong

Confuse not age with growing weak
The old, with those who fail
Let prudence reign when God they seek
See wisdom then prevail

Not all are wise, whose hair is grey
Not all to God are true
Many yet fail to find the way
And lose from Christ the view

Take heed such things, consider well
Mature in all your ways
Could be the jewels you’ll have to sell
Can prosper future days

Life’s crown; the aged seek to gain
Not wealth, nor foolish fame
For time has taught that all things wane
That fails to stand The Flame

It’s not the swift that wins the race
Nor strong which always stand
But those who seek The Father’s face
The wise in Jesus’ hand…
