The Amazing One Poem by Francis Duggan

The Amazing One

The more I learn of Nature The more I realize so little of her I do know
And my wonder of her only does seem to grow
Each day a new wonder in her for to see
Though her secrets are many and hidden from me
Even since the invention of the first motor car
Human Beings in science and technology have come so far
But Nature far greater than us in every way
And from her we do learn something new every day
To our higher selves how can we be true
If we do not pay our Earth Mother the respect she is due
Our greatest achievements compared to her's small
We depend on her for our survival after all
How little I know of her I have come to realize
The amazing one never does cease to surprise.
