The Arbiter Poem by Thea Pound

The Arbiter

Another night in this grim city;
A monster out there walking,
Engrossed deep in your vices,
And with the victim you are stalking.
But you are not the only beast,
Confined to shadows, lurking,
For though you seek to sate your sins,
I am out here watching, working.

Though a demon you are,
Judgement is my mistress,
And wherever you bring horror,
I will banish distress;
There is only one answer,
For those who feed on anguish,
By the oath that I have sworn,
Your evil I will vanquish.

I extend one final offer,
To the beast I stand before,
Seek the path of atonement,
Forsake the path of abhor;
Redemption stands before you,
As does the path of death,
I implore that you choose wisely,
Or breath your final breath.
